Methodology

ZipDataPortal provides demographic and income data for ZIP codes across the United States. All data is compiled from publicly available government sources.

Population Data

Population estimates come from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates. ZIP code population values are derived from ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs).

Median Household Income

Median household income figures are sourced from the ACS 5-year dataset. Values represent the estimated median income for households located within each ZIP code area.

ZIP Code Boundaries

ZIP code boundaries are based on ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) developed by the U.S. Census Bureau. These approximate USPS ZIP code service areas for statistical purposes.

Nearby ZIP Codes

Nearby ZIP codes are calculated based on geographic proximity using latitude and longitude coordinates for each ZIP code center point.
